Information We Collect
Cardium stores all card scan data, images, and collection information locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on external servers.
When you scan a card, the card image is sent to our analysis service solely for the purpose of grading and valuation. No personally identifiable information is attached to these requests.
Camera & Photo Library
The app requests access to your device camera to capture card images for grading analysis. Photo library access is requested to allow you to select existing card photos for analysis.
These permissions are used exclusively for card scanning functionality and all images are stored only on your device.
Local Data Storage
All scan results, card details, grading scores, and collection data are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is not synced to any cloud service.
If you delete the app or reset your data, this information is permanently removed.
Subscription & Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not accessible to us.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, which communicates with Apple’s servers to verify your purchase status.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cortex — for card analysis and grading processing. Only card images are sent; no personal data is included.
- RevenueCat — for subscription management. Only anonymous app user IDs are used.
- PostHog — for anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is collected.
We do not use any advertising SDKs or data brokers.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Card images sent for analysis are processed in real-time and are not retained on our servers.
Children’s Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device, no personal data from any user is transmitted to our servers.
Your Rights
You can delete all locally stored data at any time using the “Reset Data” option in your profile. Since we do not store your data on external servers, there is no additional data to request or delete.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
